I have a Jackson Racing radiator/oil cooler combo installed on my car, I run it with the OEM thermostat and not the JR thermostat.
(I daily drive 99% of the time, autocross 1% 30k miles/year almost....

I thought so too, but as I daily drive 35 miles of highway, oil temps actually raised slower with the radiator combo than without it. about 15-20 miles for oil temps to be reasonable.... was not...

Theoretically yes, thicker oil is harder to push therefore it should be better to have thinner oil, (strictly in terms of simplified physics and resulting mpg) currently I have 30.7 on my dash...

I know the reverse plate that I got has a port for a temperature and pressure sensor gauge. I don't have an oil pressure sensor and gauge installed yet though....
