Worried about a fitment disaster

Okay... I'm running a pretty wack set up and after all my reading I've got some hesitancies for lowering the car this winter.

Currently on:
17x9 +25 with 215/40R17 at stock height (crazy unsafe...

about to drop some money on coils and LCAs... any thoughts on dimensions to get this all snugged up?
I'm currently running stock tires (P215/45R17) on 17X9 XXRs on stock suspension.
