1320 Header & Overpipe

Is anyone using this combination? I've found a couple of posts on the header but not the overpipe. These are definitely on low end of the price spectrum, are they worth it?

On a slightly different topic, any concerns of not having a heat shield with the aftermarket headers?

Everyone I've seen use these have had exhaust leak issues and strange rattles. Rattle has been narrowed down to the "CEL Delete" that they weld on... that also does not work.

I'd avoid personally.

I just ordered this combo, will be here Wednesday. I read it was mostly the header not playing well with other overpipes but I grabbed some grimmspeed gaskets just to be sure. I'll try to update once it comes in. I have my doubts too...

Here you go boys, showed up today while i was installing my Perrin intake. Let me know if you want any other pictures. The shipping weight said 22lbs for header/op/hardware. I'll be using grimmspeed gaskets instead of the one provided and I plan on removing the 02 L-extender they provide since I'll run an OFT tune. I probably won't be able to install until next weekend, the 22nd.

And what to do for free rattle?

xsl27x 01-13-2016 09:15 PM

Either remove it and screw in 02 sensor like on the stock header, but you'll need a tune to turn off the CEL. Or keep it and use a good amount of loctite should work, but I'm not sure how it will hold up to high heat.

I got my header and overpipe in last week. I'll be installing this Saturday the 16th. I'll let you know how it goes.

The 90 degree fitting provided with the header is that where your o2 sensor is supposed to be mounted instead of directly into the header

Yes, there's also a second bung further down the header that doesn't have the 90° bracket. I understand it's entire purpose is to eliminate a CEL, which only uses the first sensor to decide if a code should be thrown.

Does 1320 provide any instructions about the o2 sensors
