Kraftwerks c30 supercharger kit.

So just ordered a Kraftwerks c30 kit "black edition" anyone have any insight on this?... I did verify they changed pulley set up which was causing noise and belt slap in earlier batches.

You'll probably want to check the forced induction forum. Also, order extra belts because they'll probably snap.

Yea I spoke to a couple of guys at kraftwerks and they specifically said that most all the belt failures were due to either over improper installation/maintenance, and they also changed the pulleys to ribbed models to decrease the belt noise, thx on the recommendation of the forced induction forum.

The problem is that "proper" tension is a bit of a unicorn. They have an app that doesn't really work. The kit doesn't seem to hold up to hard use for a lot of users. People have received replacements that have continued to fail. It's why the kit resells for under $2200.

I understand exactly what your talking about , do you have personal experience with one? Because the way that response was worded it seems pretty precise. On the resale of $2200 I wouldn't think that would be far off considering the market for used forced induction doesn't seem great. (Basically the stigma of "what that FI unit has been subjected to")

Not personal, but I have been tracking the discussions for the last few months because I was interested in the kit. You may have luck with the kit but I'd personally want the extra belt to be safe.

There are quite a few KW kits for sale on the Facebook groups all the time. People who have gone through loads of belts.

I'm certainly no authority. The forced induction section would probably be of more help!

K thx man yea I'm sure I'll have a extra belt as a safe guard, other than that I'm not really wanting to break belts Lol. Also it's a toy weekend car and it's not tracked hard so hopefully it will last.
