How do I resize avatar?

Hi Forgive me being new,

I want to meet other FRS/ BRZ drivers in north east Ct

I am stymied by a restrictive tiny size photo thing on this web site as my avatar .

The parameters are 135 x 135 pixals and no more than 145 kb

I have resized in iphoto and emailed myself the photo yet when I save it it always reverts back to a larger size , I even save it at the lowest level j peg . Ideally I do not want to lose any of the car or distort the photo , I'v tried dozens of times to crop it and resize it yet no success :) Thanks Jeff

Also how do I post photos of my car or even a video ?

And I thought I was the only one.....

MS Paint doesn't do much but the one thing it lets you do quickly and well is resize a photo.

Open Paint
Open the photo.
Click Resize on the toolbar
Change the option from Percentage to Pixels
Make sure Keep Aspect Ratio is checked.
Type in the new pixel width required to meet the need.
Save
Done.

Took me longer to type it than to do it.

Lol, MS Paint. I did resize my avatar using Paint, but that was because it would stilll come out grainy no matter what I used.

I suggest using GIMP as it resizes photos much better. You might also want to look at Irfanview if GIMP appears too complicated to use. You also don't have to resize your photo exactly to 135x135. Make sure to maintain the aspect ratio of your photo. Select whatever value is larger and change it to 135.
