What's the one thing that throws this car off? (Aesthetically)

To me it's gotta be the taillights. A black housing would be nice!

i know it's the function, but i would have liked wider tires from the factory (245)

aesthetics wise

Packofcrows 01-06-2016 05:21 PM

the tires/rims

There is almost zero chance of this thread not turning into a battle field!

The problem with things like trim and aesthetics is that not only are they highly subjective as to personal tastes the same statement can not be applied across the board for all cars.

A black housing would be nice on some colors but look horrid on others. I personally like the silver housing and trim on the tails as it balances well with the lava. If I had a white car ( beside the fact it means hell froze over) then ya black would be my choice.

Trust me black housing is nice as fuck when well done (that would be one of my main complaints, the smoked tails and side markers just flow so much better with the car)

I've always been bothered by this:

The front fender doesn't flow into the door. Very minor thing, but strange when you look at it.

Edit: it looks like the fender garnish was supposed to flow into the top angled portion of the door, but it goes up too high and it just looks weird.

Giant exhaust cutouts that have only encouraged the aftermarket to make larger and larger fart cannons.

c4lvinnn 01-06-2016 05:45 PM

The stock wheels and tires. Probably the most hideous wheels I've ever seen on a stock car and 215s from a Prius? Thanks, Toyobaruion

Wheel gap for me. It just seems abnormally wide. :/

FR-Sky 01-06-2016 05:49 PM

1)Clearance/gap between wheel and fender -.-
Low center gravity with big gap clearance on the wheel......X.X

2) The exhaust tip between 2012-2014 is too small, 2015 exhaust tip looks better

3) Like what everybody said,,black housing would be nice.

It's the bland FR-S headlights for me. Unless you have a special edition FR-S, you are forced to have the lame halogen headlights.

The Altezza-style tail lights are not as bad here; at least we get the red reflector which hides much of the chrome on the side. Still, I would have loved to have gunmetal painted tail lights.

I mean, I could have looked for a Monogram, but all I wanted was the HIDs and not all the other fancy doohickeys that comes with it. Flamesuit on! :scared0016:

Same, Or I could have looked at a BRZ, but then you would be driving a car that looks like Tom Selleck

For me, it's the way the rear end just kind of drops off. Not as bad as a 1980 Cadillac Seville but I would have preferred the trunk lid to flip up a bit (or a lot), like my NB Miata. I am even thinking of getting a ducktail spoiler, like the TRD one...
