Intro - [ 1/5/16 ]

Hey guys, well to start off, I bought my HyperBlue BRZ about two months ago. My goal is to get it track ready and also for it to be an amazing DD. This is my first manual car.
I'm starting to get the hang of downshifting (w/ rev matching) haven't attempted heel-toe, probably won't until I master rev matching so when I do practice heel-toe I'll have that part down at least.
I realize Lighting & Interior is within cosmetics but I just wanted to separate them.


Anyways below are going to be current mods I did and future mods I'm planning to do (if listed).



Cosmetic


- Car got opti-coated since early in December (2015)

- Raceseng License Plate Mount - Not installed yet, waiting for my custom California Legacy plates to come in, plates will say "NOVA 86"

Not much else here. I wouldn't mind getting the car tinted though, 35% legal around probably.

Update 1/7/16 : Might be adding some Aero if I get the exhaust.

HyperBlue BRZ as it is currently - 1/5/16 - will update & change if noticeable exterior changes are made.

Engine


- K&N Performance Air Filter added

Not much going to happen here as of right now because of Cali laws, I do however plan in the future (2017?) to go FI and get a CARB legal kit Either supercharger or turbo, I am looking into the Works Stage 2 Turbo kit though..

Might get an oil cooler once I start tracking.

I'm going to be doing little things interior wise every now and then. Next I'm looking to see if I should buy the accelerator pedal that assists in Heel-toe. Also some carbon fiber trim pieces would be nice. I'm thinking of investing in a GoPro as well for different angles.

Exhaust

Stock.

I'm looking into getting the BLITZ Nur-CTi Quad Exhaust. Bit expensive but I've been eyeing it for the longest. In order to fit the exhaust I'd need a rear diffuser that fits quad tips. So I'm going to knock both out at the same time in the next few months.

I wanted to get my interior lighting because I noticed driving the car at night when I first got it..It was pretty dark inside the cabin. I'm probably going to get some footwell lighting when I can, I'm conflicted however with getting blue footwell lighting or red. Part me of says blue to match interior, the other says red to match the dash as that's the only light coming out. It'd be too much of a hassle to change the dash lighting to blue so I'd want to leave that red. Well besides that, I was going to get Buddyclubs but later heard about the new Valentis coming out in January, I'm hoping to get them, I'd just want to see the different versions they have and see how they look each.

Looking to get some Öhlins Coilovers in the future though, and a big brake kit when FI happens.

Ordered some more car parts, just two little carbon fiber trim pieces. Shift panel thing. And steering wheel. Mainly for aesthetics. I'll take pics when they arrive and I'll install..So besides the interior upgrade..

I contacted Blitz for their Titanium Quad catback exhaust I've been interested in. I didn't want the diffuser that came with it, nor the TRD one as a fit. I wanted to just get the exhaust and have a custom carbon fiber rear diffuser made to fit the exhaust. They told me I can get it without the diffuser, they're nearby so I'm planning to check out the exhaust tomorrow.

I also contacted Wasp Composites to see if they will create a custom carbon fiber diffuser for me to fit the exhaust, haven't heard from them yet but a friend recommended me for them. I'll get a front splitter as well from them probably to balance out the Aero and downforce.

I didn't think I'd get aero this early, but I suppose I don't have a choice if I'm getting this exhaust haha, basically exhaust > custom diffuser to fit exhaust > need front splitter to balance the rear.

I also took some photos earlier today, was cruising around the Pacific Coast Highway and had to stop for a picture. I guess this thread will also be sort of a blog for my plans of the car and the journey to getting it track ready. :)

How is the shift knob? I just ordered one

Michelin Pilot Super Sports, after I get wheels, probably going 255.

It's amazing, it doesn't get that hot here but one day it was 90F and the shifter wasn't too hot just warm. I kinda like it when it's cold. In the morning and at night it's relatively cool to the touch which I really like. I really like it compared to OEM, it's the same shape and size but it definitely feels more racecar in a way lol. I love stepping in my car and everything being matched up. Blue trim and blue shift knob.
