Might've covered this but what is the material going to be made out of? I know the JDM version of this is laser cut, can't remember what material it's made out of, but it costs an arm and leg for the sheet.

These photo does not do it justice at all! Color looks vibrant and deep in real life, almost can pass for a LCD screen :wub: The tachometer numerals are now yellow just like the new Lexus GS-F. Personally I think they aid vision much better at night over white as before. So there, +1 for functionality!

I think this will probably be the last revision before I send it in to see how these can be produced. Consider the design locked in. However, just before this last test piece, I moved the x1000rpm indicator to a lower left position and left center top for either GT86 or FRS logo. The FRS logo placement in these test shots will be replaced by Scion/Toyota corporate font

The fuel and water temperature gauge looks dim here but they are brightly lit in real life, the letter are small and fine... real crispness.

Im not sure if I like the yellow numbers.. I think it works for the lexus because the white doesnt have a hard line that separates it from the blue. It blends together a lot better. I think it would look far better if that inner black line was done away with. Other than that its pretty damn clean!

edit: actually I do like the yellow, lol, Its just the rpm band itself would look a lot better if it mimicked the lexus a little more.
also I noticed that redline fades into black, which looks awesome

damn :\ personally dont like the yellow at all. And having km/h instead of mph for me is also a killer.

A night shot video of the display would be great also! I understand it's early for this but for when it's near production I'd say an all around video, driving, parked, during day and night just to get more of an idea for your customers and you might even get more if it convinces others that have previously thought no ;)

I think it's just the shade of yellow that is the issue, on the GS-F it's more of a darker-golden yellow color as opposed to the pale yellow shown.

I'm perfectly fine with km/h but I live in Canada...

The yellow is more of a deal breaker for me than the km/h since I never look at the analog speedo anyway. But it just doesn't feel OEM to me if its missing MPH and I'm in the US.

But right now this seems to just be for the Scion FRS, so it might all be a moot point for me.
