GT86 / FRS alarm woes

Gents

I have an issue that I'm hoping the collective can help with
our dev car has been sat for about 3 weeks and now I can't get the alarm to turn off

I suspect that this is due to the main battery going flat and so kind of locking the alarm / immobilser into a deafult where the key fob won't disarm it

with the jump leads connected I still can't get the d'mn fob to disarm

I've tried the manual setting where you hold the key fob against the metal surround of the start button
this gets the ignition on but the car still won't start with the key sign flashing away the entire time

Now I'm trying charging the battery but any other suggestions?

Maybe the battery was not taking enough charge or passing enough current with the cables on? A fully charged battery may just fix you right up.

Wait. Cosworth? Dev car? Ship it to me and I will see what I can do to fix it for you.

OK fixed it

turned out to be the fob battery was flat, replaced that and all was good

DAMN! I was even going to offer to pay the shipping.

Figured it had to be an easy fix.
