Blitz VSC Jumper for 86/FR-S/BRZ
I'm fully aware of the 86 Nanny, the MIG 86 Traction/VSC Eliminator, and the Cusco VSC Canceller, and what each of those do.
All of them utilize the OBD-II port. Found this the other day, not sure if anyone has tried it out... http://www.blitz.co.jp/products/elec...vscjumper.html http://www.blitzna.com/vsc-jumper.html Instructions: http://www.blitz.co.jp/support/manua.../vscjumper.pdf Looks like it needs to be spliced, but a rough translation of the instructions says that it uses the onboard VSC button as the activation switch. "Hold for 1 second within 3 seconds of engine start" is what I read in the instructions. Perhaps a viable alternative for some of us? -alex |

Just got around to installing this.
As suspected, this replicates the pedal dance by manipulating two signals in the car: brake pedal, and parking brake. The install was relatively simple. If you are not good with electronics I suggest you have a professional do it. It took me about 30 minutes (most of that was spent taking pictures). The unit beeps audibly for about 7-10 seconds, and during that timeframe you can disable traction control by pressing down on the VSC button in the center console for about 5 seconds. The usual conditions for pedal dance (not moving + warm engine) need to be met. Kind of nice that it allows disabling traction control with use of factory buttons. -alex |

Do you know if it will work on a facelift 2017 Subaru BRZ? You wrote you have taken pictures, would you mind sharing some and write brief installation instructions along? Kevin |
