STI pinks ~ Looking for pics/suggestions
Hey, I'm trying to find pictures of what the sti pink springs looks on a brz/frs that is on 17" rims and not using spacers.
Anybody running these? Have any pics? How are you liking them? I'm interested in them since I like the 15mm drop. I don't want to drop my car any lower and from research i find these are great for daily and oem dampers. I actually don't mind the stock height, but always told myself if i could just lower it a tiny bit I'd be happy. However most springs lower the car like 20mm+. However recently I discovered the sti springs that lower only 15mm! I only drive on the street, don't track or anything...that's why i don't want too low or some track setups. Also, if anyone else knows of springs that drop the car around 15mm then let me know....i heard TRD does...but i can't find that TRD version since the version i find drops the car 1" Thanks! |
In the real world, most have found the TRD/Eibach Pro-Kits to be slightly less than an inch of lowering, perhaps closer to 20mm.
I have RCE Yellows, which are 20mm. http://i.imgur.com/mYUXKWr.jpg It's on my winter tires/wheels, which are 17x7.5 +53. No spacers. |

And I havent heard of the TRD springs having a 15mm drop. Theyre just rebranded eibachs |
Have RCE yellows on my car and I love them. The ride isn't harsh, in fact it's very close to stock in my opinion.
Stock height. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...DSC_0263-1.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...0_hdr_edit.jpg RCE Yellows. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...DSC_0616-1.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...161120_hdr.jpg |
Okay thanks guys, seems like RCE Yellows will be the way to go :)

if you have the authentic sti lip, sti pink is a good choice. O.O
Cuz that lip is like quite a bit thicker then most lips out there.... |

Closest thing I can find was this (post 55). http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1672063 |
I was also close to getting the STI Pinks due to the limited drop amount, but decided to go with the RCE Yellows as my only suspension mod so far besides 17x9 wheels on 245/40 Toyo tires. I am very happy with them. Because they're linear front and rear spring rates, they make for a very natural handling and cornering feel. You can easily feel a lot of feedback from the suspension and know gradually when you're approaching the limit. Very "neutral" handling.
-20mm looks great, imo. It feels low and sporty when driving around town, and still allows you to get into and out of most parking lots/garages. |
I have STI pink springs on stock wheels and Xi3 winter tires if anyone's still interested in seeing. I'll probably post tomorrow since it's night time already.

Do the pinks come with bump stops?

Their price is fixed @ 3 years ago when yen is 35% stronger. Go to japan part you should see both @ around 166 before shipping. so it's more like 350 for both front & rear. |
