Diode Dynamic's RGBW Boomerang Mod
 

So, I ordered Diode Dynamic's RGBW Boomerang Mod on cyber Monday. It has been 4 weeks, and still no firm update on shipping. I have called once a week during weeks two, three, and four. I have kept getting the same answer of back orders and saying that with the holiday season, it's going to be another two weeks to get it out.

I'm really wondering if anyone else has ordered the RGBW mod and what their experience has been. I've heard good things about Diode which is why I ordered from them, but six weeks is a bit much, even with a high-demand situation and around the holiday season.

Also curious on how bright the modified boomerangs are. Dont really care much for the color but if its brighter than stock I'd be interested.

I've read that they're slightly brighter than stock, but not by much. The only way they would get brighter is adding heat sinks behind the LEDs, and this mod isn't really about making them super bright. Sorry :(

Yup.. also ripping out the LED driver and resistors.

Did anyone even order these?

Yep. Talked to DD about this... only 10% or so brighter than stock. Could modify with heatsinks... but just as cheap to do the DIY mod honestly.

I ordered their Always-On module for BRZ on black friday, there was no info about units not being in stock at all. My order has a 'backordered' status since then, ugh.

Same, bought the always on DRLs and Boomerang along with the RGB kit black friday and a whole interior lighting kit. An email would be nice about status updates. Looking forward to getting the package though
