Short shifter

Hey everyone, hopefully I'm posting this in the correct section.

Looking to upgrade from the OEM shifter to a short shifter.

Did some reading and see that TRD and Kartboy is the most popular without having to cut anything, since I don't want to do that lol. Is there anything else out there that is a high quality product?

Also, for those who had it for a while (2500+ miles) how is it? Any issues with them, concerns, etc?

Thanks!

I have mtec springs for the stock shifter it feels amazing. After a few months I decided to install the kart boy shifter. Kart boy has vibrations. Leaving my hand on the shifter feels odd because it rattles and shakes.

The mtec spring with stock shifter is my preferred upgrade. On top of that. The mtec is only 40-50 bucks vs 250-300

I have a Kartboy shifter with MTEC springs and mine doesn't vibrate at all. I absolutely love the combination.

Why ..... ??

The longer the shifter is, ........ the more leverage you get........:D

Never had problems in going from 1st to 2nd with a cold transmission ..... nor any crunchy shifting problems ....... with my old GMC truck.

Just sayen .........

TWM Performance offers an expensive, but excellent, option that is pretty much unsurpassed in terms of build-quality, design, and materials used.

Yeah, but it is not a "short" shifter :-)

I've see that and thought about mentioning it, but at that price it's pretty much off limits for mere mortals! You got me, though - it is probably better made than the TWM Performance piece! It's crazy, huh? Have you seen the video of the car with the CAE Ultra Shifter on a circuit - it's pretty damn cool.

That said, the TWM Performance short shifter is awesome.

It is only double of costs of Kartboy here in Europe, so when I sell mine, I will buy this beauty :-) It is much more expensive in US, but hey, try to buy DSS CF MT here, thats insane and probably with less effect than CAE.

They are used in BMW and Porsche on Ring, so they must be good.
