No religion policy

I know this was looked at by a moderator and it was still left in place. Any reason this gets a pass?

I think that was fine because its not like he was bashing any specific religion he was just making a point. I think the rule stands so that we dont have arguments based on religion because that always leads to name calling to say the least.

It's best to steer clear of religion and politics as their is always a conflict in some form or fashion. Besides, our cars have nothing to do with either!

Hasn't Jesus suffered enough? No need to degrade him more with the Scion badge :p

Seriously, OP? You dig up an almost three year old post?

Impureclient 12-26-2015 02:14 PM

I didn't dig anything up. That post was a few posts away from the last post that was made in that thread recently. Whether it was "dug up" by somebody else, me or it was just made today, the fact remains that it still violates the rules and is being overlooked for some reason. The only reason to defend leaving it in place is it fits your beliefs and if it was the other way around, I don't believe it would remain left up. If it isn't erased then it will be clear that the "no religion" actually means that you CAN apparently denigrate Abrahamic religions and as long as you don't attack the religion of atheism/science, you are fine. I just want to see that it's made more clear and the rules are changed to reflect that stance since that post still remains. Not sure why anybody would defend breaking the rules in here? I see people are trying to make a joke of this and that's fine since we all like to have fun in here but the moderators need to moderate and delete the post since this is not funny at all. I know his defenders are going to try and turn this into a shitshow and get this deleted so it will be interesting to see how this turns out.

TLDR: The guy made a sly, or so he thought, comment attacking many people on here breaking rule #1(have respect for others) and #10(no religion), and it should be fixed or the rules should reflect who does not get the benefit of respect from others in rule #1.

Are you serious, did you read what he wrote?

These people trying to deny that opti-coat works are like the religious fanatics who try to deny that science and evolution exists. You are more than welcome to practice your own beliefs and do whatever in your own home, you're also more than welcome to inform people about your own beliefs calmly and rationally...but don't go around trying to discredit everyone else yelling that they're heathens, devil worshipers and liars just because they think different than you without the facts to back it up. Science is PROVEN and as much as you try...you cannot deny it, you can however integrate it into your own beliefs...there is nothing that says Science and Religion cannot live in harmony.
A little changes here and there: These people trying to deny that opti-coat works are like the atheist fanatics who try to deny that God exists. You are more than welcome to practice your own beliefs and do whatever in your own home, you're also more than welcome to inform people about your own beliefs calmly and rationally...but don't go around trying to discredit everyone else yelling that they're Bible believers, Dawkins deniers and liars just because they think different than you without the facts to back it up in the Bible. God's existence is PROVEN and as much as you try...you cannot deny it, you can however integrate it into your own beliefs...there is nothing that says Science and Religion cannot live in harmony.

See where I am going with this? Yeah not attacking anybody in particular but it's clear what is being said. I don't come to ft86club to spread my faith and I definitely don't expect to have to defend it from attack from others. His preachy/attack paragraph there needs to go bye bye.
