Apexi N1 EXV coilovers
Wondering if anyone has these or if I can get someone's opinion on these coils. Looking at suspension besides the tein flex. Also some input on what you guys are running would be cool. I don't daily drive it. Garage queen really with the occasional tack days ahead.

This is more towards the people that are in so cal that do some driving up in the canyons, streets of willow or button willow. Looking at locals opinions to see what they like and for what reason.

I have apexi. They're pretty good so far. I had about 6 track days, several canyon runs and about 25kmiles on it. Its still holding up pretty good despite the abuse it had for almost 2 years. The only thing i didnt like was the ride height. The front can go really low. The rear will still have about 1 to 1/2 finger gap even on lowest setting. But since youre planning to track the car, youre going to need an aftermarket LCA. Some LCA can make the rears lower (voodoo13 or stance V1 or v2)

Oh ok that's not bad. I currently have LCA on the rear so that won't be an issue. I only have lowering springs that the previous owner put in so the rear would sit about the same height. 2 years? That's not bad at all.

I ran HKS SP's. A bit stiff, but more than tolerable for the mean streets of cali. They held up well on the track (streets of willow) and the ach/pch canyons.
In terms of height, I didn't really "slam" the car. It was lowered to about less than a finger gap with more room to go lower. With rear lca's and front rca's evasive motorsports was able to align the car as aggressive or as neutral as i wanted it. Good luck with what ever you choose! |
Anyone run Öhlins? These are the coilovers I have in mind in the future. Also what tire set up?
