Thought I would start a post for anyone to share their good experiences with NZ dealers when getting hold of one of 100 only 86's coming to NZ this year.

I've dealt with a couple of guys of far. 1st dealer didn't know much info about the 86. The guy who seemed to know what was happening behind the Toyota NZ scene and was happy to answer my 100 questions has now secured me a Black GT manual for July/Aug delivery :happyanim:

I've emailed Nick @ North Shore Toyota a few queries and he's come back with answers to them all :)

I have ordered mine through Billy Bell at Rutherford and Bond here in Wgtn and he has been very patient in dealing with my flip-flopping over colour/aero kit and TRD parts.

I must also give a plug for Nick at North Shore Toyota as he has been really helpful with the TRD parts queries I have had and getting a price that R&B in Wgtn is happy with so I can order at the club/forum price through my Wgtn dealer.

Although Nick's the parts man I'm sure he'd be happy to put you onto their sales team

Yep, that's my understanding too. no deliveries until the official "launch" in mid/late August and then deliveries to the "public" after that - likely 1st Sept at the earliest.

Boo so there'll be a launch but no pickup available? Oh well, still doing better than AUS wait times :P

Either way I've got my name plastered on an 86 :)
