PA EZ-Pass Screwup?

So today I was traveling using google maps and it took me on US-1 and accidentally through and EZ pass/ticket lane to enter the turnpike but didn't take a ticket. I exited at a cash lane where the lady gave me a certificate of passage ($40) to pay online for not having funds and entering without ticket. I paid it online just 20 minutes after my screw up. So here's the question, because I entered through ezpass but exited through the cash lane, will I still get a violation in the mail from the device that photographs license plates? Or will it differentiate that I exited through the cash lane? Everything online seems to only talk about it being a violation after exiting the turnpike through an ezpass lane not entering through one and exiting through cash with a certificate of passage.

I don't know the answer to your question but in my many interactions with the people at PA EZ Pass, they are pretty forgiving. My wife and I share one transponder so when I forget it on my daily turnpike commute I just call them up and they wipe away the violation and charge it to our account. If they do send you a violation then give them a call with your violation in hand along and how you paid online and I am sure they would wipe it away no problem.
I would recommend just getting an EZ Pass though. The old wives tail about getting a speeding ticket bc of your EZ pass is a hoax. If it were true then I would know.

Yea, I've been meaning too, my situation is so unusual, but if it is the case I do receive a violation I'm keeping the receipt and the online payment receipt online in my inbox

You should get something through the mail from ezpass that you need to pay for going through it without it ..happened to a buddy of mines

like seant2h said they're super understanding, just give them a call after you get the letter in the mail and if you're not a repeat offender they usually don't care. EZ pass is a nice thing to have and not think about though.

So turns out because I paid the $40 online I won't receive any sort of violation! http://i.imgur.com/UOkuT2W.png

Because I went through the cash only lane and got the Certificate of passage thing and paid it online no issues for me!!! Also turns out I could've just used the ez pass from my other car and used that number to appeal if I had gotten a violation
