FRS 10 Series Badge Glow
Hey guys, so quick question.
I bought my 10 series about 3 months ago and it finally started bothering me that my badges don't glow as they should. I've been looking at the diagram trying to find out as to why (maybe something is unplugged) and no luck. Any experts wanna take a guess as to why? Thank you so much in advance guys. |

Please don't take this as fact because a quick search did not turn anything up but I do believe I read someplace that there is a way to turn them off. Maybe that is all there is to it. Take a look at the manual and see if it is mentioned (it is not in the regular one).
Just throwing that out there for what it is worth. |
Have you tried toggling the switch that's on the bottom of the dash on the drivers side. its about directly below the steering wheel on the absolute bottom ridge. I know the manual that comes with the car says that's for the passenger side lighting, but that switch also effects the badge lighting. Try putting it in the opposite position and see if that works.

The switch under the dash only controls the light up dash panel. The ones on the outside can only be disabled by disconnecting. (Unless they just do not work) There is a digital controller that can be seen if you pull the ebrake handle boot loose. The controller for sure controls the dash, but I'm not sure if it also controls the emblems or not. I would say make a warranty claim if you are under 36000 miles. You still have time as the 10 series didn't hit the streets until June ish of 2013. Check the wires in the nose and trunk lid to see if they are connected. Some ten owners hated the badges and disconnected them.
