What size and offset are those FF01's?

DAEMANO 12-22-2015 07:51 PM

I'm kind of confused by HRE's branding here. HRE seems to use the term FlowForm as a brand, but flow form casting is just a manufacturing technique. Is HRE trademarking "flow form"? If so that would seem to be needlessly confusing. Just about every mfg I could find has flow formed wheels in their lineups (Forgestar, Ray's, WedsSport, etc).

Fitment for the FF01's is 19x8.5 ET30 to be used on all four corners :)

What sizes do you have that are concave (Medium Offset) that would fit the FRS/BRZ? Can you provide weights for a few of the given sizes? What is the lead time to get the wheels? Are 18" planned?

For the FF15 which has more available sizes to pick from, we can do a 18x9 ET40 which has a conical face, and then in 19" we're also looking at 19x9 ET40 with a conical face. The FF01 style only comes in a flat face, no conical option there, so if you want something that gives a little extra dimension, go with the FF15.

18x9 ET40 weighs 20lbs per wheel
19x9 ET40 weighs 21lbs per wheel

Wheel sets are in stock so if you want me to point you in the right direction for the proper dealer to contact, send me a PM and we can have them ship out 24 hours later from our location, or your dealer might have them in stock ready to ship too!

18x9+40 would be absolutely perfect but I'm only interested in the FF01. I saw there is a 19x9.5+43 in a more concave face (picture below). Is there any narrower widths than that with the same face?

The only fitment available for the FRS/BRZ is 19x8.5 ET30 with regards to the FF01 wheel. Anything other than that particular fitment, because it's not intended for that particular platform, I cannot recommend. If you want to try a different fitment, by all means no one will stop you but I would get information as to how that set was modified in order to work. Just know that we do not recommend it, and any permanent modification will lead to a voided warranty and a set that of course wont be eligible to be returned for a refund for any reason.

Hi Jurrian,

Coilover suspension increases clearance to the strut compared to stock, which is why the 19x9.5+43 would fit. It will not fit on stock suspension which is probably why your company doesn't recommend it.

Can you provide a list of the 5x100 sizes available, and whether they are concave or not and then we can make our own decisions for fitment?

Thanks

I am very familiar with this particular chassis and as a company we've done the measurements on this car to understand which fitment we wanted to produce for the FlowForm series, but the fact is that we don't manufacture a 19x9.5 ET43, nor do we manufacturer any other size, other than the ones I have listed, in a 5x100.

This is also the reason why I commented that if you wanted to try a fitment that is not 5x100 that requires modification to the wheel itself to work, we wont stop you, but our dealers who will be selling the wheels directly to our customer base will tell you that modifying a set of wheels to fit your vehicle in a fitment based for another type of car all together is not recommended by us, and most dealers will inform you that once modified the wheels will not be allowed to be returned for a refund under any circumstance and it will also void the structural or finish warranties (if lets say drilling is involved where you can sometimes see powdercoat chipping).

djdnz 01-05-2016 02:47 PM

That's disappointing, PM me if you start offering more 5x100 sizes - 18x9+40 or 19x9+40 in concave would be a great fitment for the FRS/BRZ, it will fit wit stock suspension, and is not overly aggressive. For the price you're asking if they are not lightweight they at least need to be concave for me.

The FF15 wheels in 18x9 +40 won't fit on a stock suspension, will they?

All the photos that I have are generally going to be with lowered cars, but I can tell you that I have no reported issues with that fitment on stock suspension.

To clarify, does that mean that the wheels have been fitted to stock cars, and there were no issues, or does that mean that you don't really know if anyone has fitted them, but you haven't explicitly been told they don't fit. Because those are very different scenarios! Thanks!

I simply do not have the photos, but if you want to go through the wheel gallery we have here, there are cars photographed using 9" ET40 - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

I ran 18x9 +40 wheels for about a year on stock suspension(about 6 months) and lowered (6 months-coilovers, 1.25" drop) and they fit just perfect.

FF15 look great, and the size/offset they offer works very well with our cars-I wouldn't hesitate at all to run that size again on my car.

But you state they only come in a flat face then show a picture with a concave face?

There used to be a 19x9.5 ET43.5 fitment which we would use for staggered set up's which Crawford Performance used on all four corners for this vehicle. We are not bringing back the 19x9.5 ET43.5 fitment.

FlowForm_Wheels 02-02-2016 06:15 PM

We had a few questions in regards to FF15's and the 18x9 fitment with stock suspension. Here's some more photos with confirmation on that. No rubbing with 255 Michelin Pilot Super Sports!

Wont be that maxed out with the sale that we're having :happyanim:

Stang70Fastback 02-09-2016 09:03 PM

I bought these wheels already, lol. In fact, I just got 255 Michelin PSSs mounted on them today. It's the coilovers that I think I'm going to need. I dunno if I can deal with that much poke for very long, haha.

Stang70Fastback 03-16-2016 12:07 AM

Just wanted to follow-up with some (crappy phone) photos of now that I got them on the car. I wound up getting KW V3 coilovers too, and some camber plates and LCAs to allow me to adjust things properly. They look fantastic (and WAY better in person than in these photos.)

Just picked up a set of FF15 in 18x9 et40 with the michelin pilot super sports in 255/35 and were not able to mount them due to rubbing the front spring on stock suspension. I do have a set of coilovers on order though.
