Gas in a BRZ

Hey guys! I just got my Subaru BRZ and have been putting 89 octane gas in it. Would that gas be fine in a BRZ or do I have to put 91 octane in it? Thank you for your help!

89 octane?......

totaled.

seriously you should be using 91 at the VERY least. 93 is what this car was designed to run on.

Read the manual. 91 minimum, 93 preferred.

Seriously, read the manual.

And if this is a troll post, I'm deeply disappointed in you, because it's a poor effort. You can do better.

No, that's too much octane. You should be putting 86 octane. Nothing else.

Nah man, Americans rate petrol different than Japan and Euro.

I usually put 87 and then add some sugar to bump up the octane to 91 octane!!

Wow, RTFM!

If you use 110 leaded octane, your car will break through the 200 whp mark

I only use Scion-approved gas available in pint cans at my local Toyota dealership. Expensive, but worth it.
