battery capacity for bluetooth OBDII
Hi guys, total newb with electric stuff... I would like to run the DashCommand app via Apple CarPlay or the AppRadio on a head unit, and I was wondering if running the car with the bluetooth or a wifi OBDII module always plugged in would drain the battery. I have a tiny Shorai with a short reserve hour, so anything that will drain the battery is a concern for me. Is there a way the OBDII scanner will turn on with ignition, or any other smart solution? thanks in advance.

Avoid the cheap adapters and get one of these. It shuts down automatically.

You're welcome.
I've had the LX for a while now and I leave it plugged in all the time, including winter. |
hmm, is it not Apple iOS compatible or does it not matter? I only have an Apple device...

^ Just get the MX instead.

Yup, if you have an iPhone you need the MX/wifi version.

it looks like the review on the wi-fi version is pretty bad, ppl saying the connection gets lost and it doesnt wake up from the sleep mode at times... maybe time to switch to an android device...
