Cost to install Rocket Bunny Kit?

I was just wondering how much the typical install and paint match for the RB kits is? Im particularly interested in the V1 + GT Wing. So all that is being installed and painted is the fenders front & rear, side skirts, front lip, and the GT Wing. This is my first time doing anything like this so I have no idea what the usual price is. I called a place that wouldnt paint but for install they said $700 for the whole thing. Another place said $3000 for install and paint match, so does painting them cost a lot?
In the end its going look pretty much just like this --> https://www.flickr.com/photos/wlee_87/8387332031/

I think there was a thread about some guy wondering the same exact thing that was going on not too long ago.. lol

I have absolutely no idea where it is now but I'm sure when @Tcoat sees this, he will be glad to link it hahah

It varies on where you are and how good of a job you want done. $3k-4k sounds about right for some quality work.

The labor also requires them fitting the over fenders and cutting up the stock fenders properly, and trimming the wheel well lining underneath too.

Oh, Lord ...... why did I even open this thread ....... :slap: .... myself.

@Ryan_FRS86 ..... I figure you're on the young side so, I'll offer this bit of advice.

Back in the day, during an Army tour in Germany, I would suggest to the troops that they take their payday money and hop on a train and go see Europe.

But, most of them would take their cash (yes we had to pay in cash), hook up with the first "schatzi" outside the gate and spend a 3 day pass getting drunk and whatever else ...... :( .... and never get out of Mannheim. Then they would come back, broke, hungover and wanting to see the Doc.

Do you see where I'm going with this ...... ??

OK, I know, that's not what you asked.

I'd guess that the cost of the kit, installation and painting will cost you upwards $7,000 ....done right.

Your call ......... :thanks:

My guess is somewhere between $700 unpainted and $3000 painted.
Yes painting costs.
Check locally (as you have obviously started to do). It doesn't matter what Joe FRS in Bachwuds Tennessee paid, all that matters is what it cost for places you are willing to go to.

Or as Hum sort of implied you could hold off save some money, enjoy the car, meet some nice people, learn how to do the work and eventually do it yourself.

Now keep in mind that the RB kit looks breath taking (the bad kind of breath taking) until you put much wider wheels and tires on. This kit doesn't end up being cheap when all components come together.

^ that

And you will also need some suspension stuff, can't have it with 4x4 stance. You also don't want cheap out here if its a DD as it will make it ride like crap if you buy some BC's just to lower it. Budget 3-4 grand for all the suspension parts you will need.

All said and done with parts and labor this will cost you around $15k people will probably look at this and think I'm crazy but it's true. By the time you buy wheels that will actually fit, suspension components to make it work and the kit installed it adds up fast.

To do it right I have little doubt it will run that much. The kit itself is just the tip of the iceberg.
