Best 1 day Performance Driving Schools
 

Hi Guys,

Does any one have some experience and recommendations for a 1 day performance Driving School anywhere in the U.S?

I'd like in class, and in car instruction as well as track time.

And lower priced would be best for me :party0030::w00t::burnrubber:

Just curious since your profile location says Canada, why not a Canadian option?

The MCO runs a pretty good school out at Calabogie. The BMW club also offers a school at Calabogie, 2-day, but I don't know if that has classroom time.

We have a foot of snow on the ground now through till April... So if I can hit somewhere warm next month or feb that would be great.

No snow here yet, but the track is closed until next season.

Anywhere that Chin Motorsports has an event. They give the most track time and have great instructors for a very fair price.

Do you want to do it in your own car, or somwhere that provides the vehicle?

Ah good point, I'd like to have a car provided. I'll be flying out to which ever track location is best.

My understanding is that Evo focuses on AutoX, doesn't sound like what OP wants. I also understand that 'phase 2' is the more useful session so that would make it a 2-day school. It's also a 'bring your own car' event.

But thanks for reminding me to check, they finally updated their schedule and I am probably going to sign up for the next one local to me.

I've heard of a few schools over the years, names most would recognize, Skip Barber, Bob Bondurant, etc. but no first hand experience.

Oddball suggestion, saw an article and watched a few vids about Dirtfish rally school, looks like a blast and car control carries over between surfaces in my experience.
