Catch can oil film
Hello gents!
Quick question for those of you with catch cans. I'm using a Mishimoto that I've had on for about 5k miles or so, and I notice that every once in a blue moon (say once a month) there is a super super light film of oil on the exterior of the intake hose of the can. Like enough to smell but not really feel on your fingers for more than a minute. No changes in oil level per the dipstick, car is running fine otherwise. Things I have tried: - loosening, moving and tightening worm clamps -making sure catch can bottom is good and tight -checking the hoses and inlet screws for the can, everything is nice and snug. Not too concerned about it overall, just thought I'd ask since I've never had another catch can do this. I've also never had another catch can pick up an appreciable amount of oil so maybe this is a side effect of one that actually works? Still better on the hose than in the intake I imagine. Anyway, thanks for any input! Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk |

Sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with the kit! Sending you a PM shortly so we can attempt to diagnose the cause of this! Thanks -John |
Hey I've had the same issue, how did you resolve yours? And yea can't figure out why it only happens on one hose

ol humfrz here.
I would suggest that you make sure the nipples, that are screwed into the catch can, are tight. You may wish to take them out, wrap some plumbers tape around the threads and screw them back in. Or, maybe the hose is just sweating ...... :iono: Is it time for my nap yet ..... ?? humfrz |
