What wheels/tire combo should i get?

Thinking of keeping stock suspension for a while however i want to change the wheels/tire.ls. How is 18*8.5+38 squared on a stock suspension setup? Will it fit easily on stock struts and no scrubbing? What tires should i run?

Anyone have any pics of it?

I don't think the sizing will be an issue. As for the tires, what kind of driving are you doing?

Just daily mainly

You're in New York? If you are going to be driving it in the winter, then any decent snow tire will be good. If you're looking for something for the rest of the year, I hear Continental Extremecontact DWS is a good all season tire or Michelin Pilot Super Sports are also good. A 245/35/18 will be a good size for an 18x8.5 rim.

So you think with stock suspenion stay 18*8.5 rim? How about 18*9.5+38v

How would that go with stock suspension. Dont want scrubbing etc

18x9.5 might rub depending on the offset, camber adjustment and tire. There isn't really any benefit to running such a wide wheel on the street anyway so I'd suggest running the 8.5.

It will be very close. 1/4inch or 5mm, less on some cars. You can run a spacer, but the wheels already poke out. 18x8.5 +38 and 245/35-18 is a good setup with stock suspension.

that setup wont rub and affect the stock struts etc? How does it look? Agreesive look?
Hard to decide between that and 17*9s wheels

Won't rub. 17x9's poke out more and are closer to rubbing, especially +42/45 offsets. Search, there are plenty of pics around.
17's for cheaper tires, lighter, more bubbly meaty tire look.
18's for big wheel and thin tire look.

If you are keeping the stock suspension, 17's are more factory looking and 18's are more dub or concept looking.

One can consider also 16" for even cheaper tires, even lighter wheel+tire package and more meaty look then 17". From reviews, one also gets more comfort when DD, w. slightly less sharp turn-in. For 16" it's worth to see how it will look first. Some wheels look ok-ish in 16", some - not (eg. i didn't like look of TE37SL @16", while i liked it at bigger sizes).

Agree with the statements that a 16 or 17 inch rim looks better on stock suspension. I think 18s look sort of funny if you aren't lowered:

^such a bad setup. Don't even consider it. Just trying to make sales... the 18x8.5 is ok, offset is a little high. The 19x9.5....
