Yeah another axle thread.

So Car is only making like 315rwhp, 2 degrees camber in the rear not very low, prior to the car being turbo it was slammed with 6 degrees of camber. Anyhow I finally snapped my axle in half. Wondering what people have done to not do that again?

Also Wondering if it maybe broke from the new power or the fact that it was maybe worn out a bit from so much camber before. But I'll never know.

Is there any other companys that make them besides Drive shaft shop? 1000 bucks for something I might break again kinda sucks. I looked around a bit.

Also I've done little to no research on this thought, but has anyone tried WRX axles? I've been under a few imprezas and wrxs and other subaru's and the brz subframe and suspension looks very similar in the newer models.

I'm running Whiteline subframe bushing inserts, Powered by max control arms, Megan Track Coilovers, SPL Toe Arms and Lock Out kit. The control arms are supposed to fix the angle of them a little bit From what PBM Says.

I Guess the main point of this thread will be someone just tell me what the hell to buy with the drive shaft shop axles that will help prevent it from happening.

PS does anyone know if BRZ MIKE broke an axle yet his car is very fast.:barf:

Well its been "functional" for a few months now. And I was putting it away for winter and was like lemme just do a quick pull down the street cause I'm gonna miss it.. and well shift into second and hear BANG rattle rattle rattle rattle..roll to stop sign thinking my exhaust fell off or some shit..haha. go to drive and nothing.

Just don't wanna be stranded again is all. I'm thinking on I guess grabbing a pair of stocks..

Grab a pair of stockers, Nick. That said, if you get the DSS axles I'd be surprised if you broke another, lol

I wouldn't be surprised if the axle had some wear from the 6 degree of camber. Definitely the best option would be to get cheap used OEM ones off ebay, until you can get DSS ones down the road. TBH OEM should be fine with 2 degrees neg and boost

I would dare claim we have the highest horspower supercharged twin on a stock engine :bellyroll:

OP: OEM axles cost almost the same as DSS. I suggest you order a set of DSS axles through us and you're not gonna break another set at 315whp.

Breaking axles has more to do with how you drive and what you do with the car, rather than how much power you make, for most people. I've never broken an axle on a twin before...
