30k mile service - over limit?

I just hit 30k miles on my BRZ and was wondering - would Subaru cancel my warranty if I drive it to a dealership about 40 miles away for the service?

No.

You will be OK.

A dealership can't "cancel" the manufactures warranty ........ they can only deny doing the work under warranty (or something like that wording).

I suggest you check in your maintenance guide for what should be done at 30,000 miles. Don't let them overcharge you for changing a few of filters, oil, rotating the tires and inspecting a bunch of stuff.

I've scheduled an appointment with Carlsen Subaru but am looking at alternatives if going over is going to be an issue.

Coming from a Service Writer, you will NOT get anything canceled. If you decide to neglect any maintenance, that is customer responsibility if anything does end up failing due to lack of maintenance. You can go to 35-40K and still request the 30K mile Check Up. Just relax, and not fret over that.

What part of california are you from? I had a friend of mine do my full service including ugraded fluids (Motul Gear 300 trans and dif fluid, aimsoil 5w-30) and a brake fluid change. Can't remember what brake fuild he did. I was quoted $730 for the 30k service from toyota and he did it for $400 instead.

Its dealership pricing. You have parts, labor, shop fee, tax. Remember that Dealerships will 99% of the time be more expensive then your "local mechanic", or "friend/buddy". Dealership pricing comes with Warranties. Well our Dealerships do at least. Your buddy/friend/local mechanic I bet don't offer that lol

Really! They want to rotate the stock primacy's at 35k???

Mine were worn out early last year at ~20k and that is with using winter tires for 4 months of the year...
I practically begged my dealer to do "any maintenance I am due for" the last two oil changes. I just hit 35k, and they did an oil change last week.
They said all that I am due for is a cabin air filter, but they were out of stock and will do it next oil change.
Didn't charge me anything extra and didn't even mention a 35k maint...
I even said more than once "Are you SURE I don't have any maintenance due" they said nope, you are all caught up.

Tire rotations are recommended at EVERY oil change interval
