OFT Stage 2 + OFH + Nameless OP/FP + GReedy SP CB
So I have finally done adding Nameless Catless Resonated OP/FP and GReddy Supreme SP Catback last week. Crawford BPB is also installed.
A month before the GReddy CB, I have this rattling nose from FP every Cold start and it lasts for about 5-6 seconds. Adding the CB makes the sound louder. Currently OFT Stage 2 93 Octane with BPB Tune. Done a full inspection under the car and there is issue with installation. So I showed to the shop and very close friends about this. All said it's normal for the tune. I even ordered another nameless OP/FP pipe with ball resonator and it's on the way. Here I am just to re-assure that if there is something I can do to eliminate the rattle from the cold start. Please see the video below. Thank you! Video Link - https://youtu.be/-gj7ZLkNkZ4 |
Did you have any issues with fitment when installing the nameless frontpipe/overpipe?
Sounds good btw:thumbup: |
Do you hear loud rattle inside car? it does sound a bit like overpipe or something hitting on chassis at initial startup.
you can quieten/tame down the start in the tune Set Post timing ignition from -15 to about -6, see picture below You will need to disable CEL code P050B (post timing ignition timing performance) else on USA roms you will throw a CEL Set MAF correction after start in gear and neutral tables as per picture below Set any numbers in idle control tables set any values over 1400 to 1400 ie if its 1800 set to 1400 Then startup will be quiet. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1442115672 |

I am thinking about getting an E-Tune from Open Flash since addition of OP+FP+CB can gain some power and need of e85 tune for BPB support as well. So what are your thoughts on that? Yet should I mention Open Flash about those numbers for start up as well? |

BPB is probably not needed when running tuned with catless header especially on E85. some guys like the smoothness and maybe a bit of extra midrange but its not going to be a lot on a tuned car on E85 with catless header. The BPB will knobble to power a bit over about 6000rpm though where E85 works well. BPB shift power band lower Exhaust parts after header dont rearly effect tune much. Just check you AFR vs Commanded AFR and make sure its not running rearly rich the odd car has weird maf sensor, but most usa ones seem ok, fix the load limit tables if you get any bogging if you go WOT at low rpm, else the the OFT E85 UEL tune is pretty solid and I doubt you will gain much with an E-tune as your running all the correct bits and if your on stock intake |
