Where is the best self served car wash in San Diego?

My whole time staying in San diego, I've been washing my car at the NAVY base by 32nd street NEX and it's really not satisfying. Any suggestions on where I should go to wash my car? I live by mission valley area. Thank you.

Why is it not satisfying? I thought the carwash stations were free. Just bring your cleaning supplies. At least at Miramar there is.

I'm moving there with a group of other enthusiasts from our boat and I would like to know what's wrong with the on base areas.

Have you had any problems on base?

I have not been there yet. I'm just wondering why the on base facilities are unsatisfying.

At op, try the 5$ car wash in point loma.

If you want a decent wash get the full package, it's like 20 bucks I think. I wash my car at the nex's and places around North island, mainly at Miramar since I'm there most of the time. I get that the water isn't the cleanest, it leaves streaks but I could still do a better job with my own supplies on base than a self serve.

Are the stalls free on Miramar? I see people use it. Looks like its just a hose and you can turn it on.
