Looks really good! why 245/45 tires?

LOLS2K 12-02-2015 11:37 AM

Daily, track, or double duty setup?

Purchased off someone who was using them for autocross.

Right now, both. Daily 60 mile commute, I estimate the tires should last me a month or two...

 I remember doing the same thing in my S2000 on RS3s. Alignment was not wallet friendly. Looking good though.

Not sure. When I bought my set, FT86SpeedFactory had them in stock though.

Are you guys running LOTS of camber? Especially up front? I just can't see how you're doing it, adding 30mm to the tire width, 15mm to tire height, AND 10mm to the offset on top of that even though I am seeing it...

I run 17x8.5 +44 CE28 + 12mm spacer, and 255/40 NT01 @ 2.2* cambers. Fits fine... I'm sure 9j isnt too far off either, but you'll probably need coilovers.

I was around 3.5 degrees negative camber in the front. 2.75 rear

as far as tires go, its actually only 15mm tire width more on the outside and less than 2mm tire height difference.

I should have specified that my question was mainly about mav1178's setup:

245 - 215 = 30mm increase in total width (on which we agree) but 45% A/R =13.5mm more tire height.
