Any New Hampshire people active on here?

New here, I am curious about the local 86 community...Do we even have one? lol

CFC BRZ 12-05-2015 11:19 AM

Kinda sorta.
There's the 86 ONE group but they focus on all of New England.

If you have a BRZ, there's the Granite State Subarus group. They are mostly focused on the WRX.

Where are you located? I'm in Derry and work in Manchester.

racing_reject_001 12-05-2015 02:39 PM

brandon45106 12-06-2015 05:35 PM

I am new here also and i just moved to Portsmouth, NH. I have an FR-S

TheMaummar 12-07-2015 05:01 PM

I am new to this site and I am in Rochester, NH. I have an FRS as well. I have a buddy in the area who has a BRZ. He mentioned something briefly about that 86 ONE group thing.....I don't facebook. lol

Fonzi 12-26-2015 11:24 PM

Im in Newton nh. Im on everyonce in awhile.. just about done with my build so i'll be out driving soon

TheMaummar 12-27-2015 02:19 PM

What are you doing for your build?

Fonzi 12-30-2015 09:40 PM

Fullblown Intake manifold
Fullblown turbo kit gtx3076r
9.5 compression JE pistons
Pauter rods
ferrea valve train
Piper Cams 272/266
port and polished heads
5 angle valve job
1000cc bosch injectors

Car is running just getting tuned at Racetek.

mrk1 01-04-2016 05:36 PM

I'm right on the MA/NH line. Car is parked for the winter. FB is the most common way to reach people really.

TheMaummar 01-04-2016 06:36 PM

That is quite the build man....she will be quick! lol
I drove the other day through the snow storm we had. It was a blast. Car is super comfy too. I just did came home from a road trip. I am impressed. 15k well spent.

racing_reject_001 01-05-2016 12:06 PM

cant wait to actually buy mine :p

TheMaummar 01-05-2016 01:17 PM

I waited awhile to get mine. I originally test drove the BRZ. I wanted the BRZ and then my FRS came along for the right price. I bought it and love it. Only things I would have liked more would have been the fog lights and the heated side mirrors.

I care most about how a car drives so everything else is a bonus for me. I don't sit and vape in my car like most of the Subaru seen in the area. lol

racing_reject_001 01-06-2016 12:25 PM

Yea sad thing is ive never driven one, i just like everything about the twins and something just made me want one more then the s2k which i wanted for ever i am sure that when i do finally drive one it will make the want factor even worse

TheMaummar 01-06-2016 06:38 PM

Go take one for a spin man! It will be a fun test drive!

racing_reject_001 01-07-2016 12:49 PM

yea i just rather find someone willing to let me ( if anyone would be kind enough lol ) hell even grab food and drinks and let me ride in one for crying out loud i hopefully will buy one this year just saving right now, sadly i only sold my ek 3 months ago and the bug for a new toy is biting crazy :( i have a solid idea of where i want mine to be when i buy one though

TheMaummar 01-08-2016 12:35 AM

That is great that you have a plan of what you want to do. Most I am gonna do is swap a Coyote V8 once the stock motor dies. All depending on how motivated I am at that moment in time and where I am at in life. Who knows...driving it till the wheels fall off and then on to something else.

racing_reject_001 01-08-2016 01:46 PM

Yea coming from the honda world i am keeping the same build outlook as that function and found one build on here that sold me on 200 wheel, good suspension and tires and aero that will help with the handling along with getting rid of the torque dip, if i blow the motor ill either build and supercharge or j2 swap depending :p but other then that i want to go on street courses with it thats the goal

TheMaummar 01-08-2016 02:07 PM

That sounds awesome! Honestly, if you get rid of the torque dip and add a little more power on the stock motor it is perfect for having a "Fast" everyday driver....I rev the sucker to the max while daily driving and once you get above 5k the thing has some decent pull....sorta just jumps out at you. It is a nice surprise.

mrk1 01-10-2016 03:49 PM

Torque is what these cars are missing, I'm not saying it needs V8 numbers but a more usable curve is much more fun.

TheMaummar 01-10-2016 03:52 PM

You got that right....would love the new wrx torque numbers on these cars.

TheMaummar 01-11-2016 11:18 AM

You sir, Have quite the fun ride right there. lol

TheMaummar 01-20-2016 12:45 PM

This site is seriously dead. lol

Datfluffyhampster 01-20-2016 03:52 PM

It really is dead for New England. But our car isn't very popular in this area. It is all WRX owners. I almost never remember to come on here. Down in Southern NH but commute to portsmouth area daily. White BRZ if you see it.

BWilky 01-20-2016 03:59 PM

I am watching a few used BRZ's at a couple of dealerships now and planning to buy within the next month or two.
I see a lot of twins between Hooksett and Merrimack on may to work during the other 3/4th's of the year.

You may see me around Portsmouth area as well...blue frs.
You are right btw, WRX land everywhere you go....so boring lol

Hope you get a good deal on your BRZ BWilky.

racing_reject_001 01-21-2016 12:45 PM

i think the entire forum is hibernating lol most build have no updates but yes this time of year im shocked seeing twins driving around im in southern nh my self

TheMaummar 01-21-2016 04:00 PM

I get looks all the time from people as I drive around right now. They have that "what the heck is that guy doing" look on all the time! lol

racing_reject_001 01-22-2016 09:09 AM

haha i cant say i havent given that look before on top of the "lucky sob i will have one someday" look haha but if anyone wants to add me on fb chat add me https://www.facebook.com/rich.stover.56 would definitely like to get into the twins community more

TheMaummar 01-22-2016 03:40 PM

I would, but I haven't used FB since 2012. I did take a peek and I believe I have seen you driving around...you ever travel on 16?

Ramn 01-22-2016 04:48 PM

I've seen a white FRS and two BRZs around Portsmouth.

TheMaummar 01-22-2016 10:36 PM

I haven't seen the FRS, but I have seen the BRZs around Portsmouth as well.

racing_reject_001 01-23-2016 07:16 AM

16 where? i have since sold the silver and blue ek and bought my crv for year round abuse and saving for the brz typically up near barnstead or nashua and that area but try making my way to the coast every now and then ive been trying to get to friendly toast in Portsmouth place is awesome

TheMaummar 01-23-2016 08:25 AM

Hmm...maybe it is not you then...I keep seeing this mystery WRB BRZ that is always on 16 either heading towards Portsmouth or heading to North bound. Probably some older gentleman with his retirement toy! lol

racing_reject_001 01-23-2016 08:44 AM

haha yea i wish it were me but i dont have one yet slowly saving hoping i find a better job soon so i can jump start savings again holidays put it on hold :p

TheMaummar 01-31-2016 08:06 PM

I hope you are able to get it this year man. You will enjoy it. I think it is perfect for NH. Tons of twistys on the roads everywhere.

racing_reject_001 02-02-2016 06:49 AM

yea first weekend i own it im heading up to the kanc lol

meeskee2 02-02-2016 09:15 AM

I'm a NH guy lol. Live in Manchester, work in Concord. I used to make the drive all the way down to Westborough, MA for work. 86ONE pretty much moved to FB for the most part and it seems to be MA/CT based. It doesn't help that its winter either. Meets and things will pick up in the spring for sure.

I've got a WRB BRZ with red "bro flaps" lol and a Perrin cat-back. Picking up a UEL header and an Open Flash Tablet this spring.

Oh, and I just installed clear corner marker lights.

jae-gt86 02-02-2016 11:28 AM

Me and my cousin, right on the line of mass and sale nh. We always cruising around.

TheMaummar 02-02-2016 11:51 AM

Oh sweet! Some locals! Nice to see NH people active. The community in the 603 is so New England....people just stealth-fully cruise around and nobody knows anybody. I see more BRZs than anything on the roads though. It makes me laugh cause the BRZ is suppose to be a rarer car and my FRS with TOyota badges is so lonely.

I actually have never been up to the the kanc in all my life....been in NH almost 20 years now. I hear it is worth it though. My former coworker is big into the racing seen. He has a BRZ and insists I do it soon
