Leave it stock or something catted.

I ordered a Borla UEL the other day, and I think I'm going to swap out my catless fp for the OEM one. I hope that will help mellow out the sound.

It will by quite a bit. The big thing is that it'll kill the rasp and the "tinny" sound. For the gains you get by going to a catless FP, I just don't think it's worth it on a primarily street car.

That's it. I find the Q300 is a bit tinny with a catless header. I hope that stock FP will kill most of that. I don't really want to switch to something like an N1. It sounds nice but its just too loud and boomy. Yeah I know, I'm fussy.

@FT-86 SpeedFactory , I think you guys had the borla uel on one of your shop cars with the Q300. How did it sound with the stock fp?

Definitely suggest stock overpipe or catted for original poster.

tsudo catless header/overpipe>berk catted fp>q300 is my setup

Very nice tone, great I think for a daily driven car. Zero drone, not very noisy at while cruising on the highway. I don't think its tinny at all, but definitely grabs attention when going full throttle.

You wouldn't happen to have sound clips, would you??

With Stock front pipe, I thought it was pretty tame. But everyone's ears are different. :(
