2015 Subaru BRZ Startup Screen Won't Change!!
 

So I have looked at all the videos, all the writeups and all the forum posts regarding changing the startup screen in the BRZ but everything that I try to do will not work.

I have used a SDCard, tried the map SDCard and an external Hard Drive and nothing seems to be working. I also tried to reformat one of my SDCards and that also will not work. The image has been changed to 1920x1080 which is a 16:9 aspect ratio, and is in .jpg form.

Not sure if im missing something, but everytime I follow the steps that worked for another person, my car just will not change. I have also gone into the settings where it says "Change Startup Screen" and when I tap it, it reads "you must have a startup image on the SDCard."

Any help will be much appreciated. (If this has already been resolved, please just point me to the thread or video, no sassy pants plzz)

It is probably your picture file being to big. What size is it in kb? size in pixels?

Its 3.4 MB didnt think about file size, I will lower the quality a bit and see if it helps

Don't lower the quality, lower the resolution... The screen's resolution is only 400x234. There is absolutely no reason to feed it an image larger than that.
