Question about rear spoiler/wing (street legal)
 

Hi I am looking for a rear spoiler for my frs. The few ones I liked are "off road use only" Does that mean it is not street legal?

And what kind of spoilers do you guys have? Pics please!

When stuff says "off-road use only" it just means whatever company can't guarantee it's legal everywhere, it takes a shit ton of work and money to develop things and have them tested to DOT standards. Also I'm pretty sure that would make the company designing whatever product liable for so much legal stuff if something were to happen. That essentially means it's not street legal IN SOME JURISDICTIONS, and it depends on where you live and the cops in the area if they'll pull you over

So shitposting aside, OP, what spoilers were you looking at? I can't really believe that a spoiler could be labeled for off-road use only unless it is a GT wing. Whatever spoiler you choose could decrease MPG.

Just because somthing is off road use only doesn't make it illegal, for example the coilovers I am getting are for off road use only yet where I live there are no laws regarding them so its not illegal.

On a side note the warranty only applies if they are used extensively on a race track and not the road. Why I have no idea lol!!!

What kind of ricer ass wing did you want that might not be street legal.

Yeah - "off-road only" is just a way to limit the manufacturer's liability.
