Hey Guys,

So we did it and wow! i'm super excited about this unit that we built,

My friend is a great mechanic/engineer his been working on japanese cars for about 10 years and he knows his stuff! He has a 350Z right hand and S15 right hand straight from japan!

When he found out that my BRZ didn't come with the JDM fog light in the middle he said "lets make an actual unit" and wow just 2 hours and bam done!

looks great and works when you have the front lights turned on.

His actually going to make me a switch to turn them on or off when I please.

Does the jdm one work as a brake light?

Are they legal?

The 'JDM' one (also AUDM and EUDM) is just a fog light

yes its a legal cause a lot of the Benz have there euro fog lights on the left side of the brake light...I use to turn it on almost every night I went out some where lol

As for using it as a brake light I see why not...we just didn't do it cause there just meant to have it on at night...also like i said were making a switch for it...just in case you didn't want it on all the time...but i have to say....I really don't want the switch haha I LOVE IT ON!!! :party0030:

would like to do this as well!

I wanted to do a write up....but I left the car at my mechanics so didn't get a chance to take any pics or how he did it...also I think he wants to sell these units....

but I already got a PM from some one that has an FRS coming down next week to get one installed so will do a write up for that car ;)

they don't care...its another light to them....i drove my car right to get some food and went by a cop and high way patrol and they didn't do anything to me...:thumb up:

also like i was saying a lot of euro cars have fog lights on there cars...its just a lot of owners don't know that they have it on there rides lol

That looks really cool. Something I would be interested in doing as well...

And as for cops, I don't think they can do much about it anyway. The light/reflector piece is already on the car, and all you did was make it work, they don't know that. If they do pull you over, just say it's OEM and came with the car.

Will this be a pricy MOD ? or is all the wires there and you just needed a bulb ?

I really want to do this to mine. Noob question about front fog lights, are they turned on when headlights are turned on or is there another switch for them?

on the side note, from behind tail lights + this light = double D and a tiny bikini bottom. :lol: i know, something is wrong with my imagination.
