2015 Scion FRS Firestorm Red Detailed

I purchased this car new at the end of July and I had a chance to detail it properly. It currently has 3600 miles and it is quite a blast to drive considering it doesn't have plenty of power. The paint finish had many swirls from when I purchased it, so my goal was to remove a majority of them. I am very satisfied with the results. This was also the first time ever using any type of coating.

I remember when my car looked like that when I first bought it....

Poor thing is probably crying due to its lazy owner. :(

Car looks great, btw!

Actually, this is my second car. So I did this detail slowly over a week and a half. Lol Much more pleasurable at that pace.

Thanks! This car was in horrendous condition when I bought it. When I bought it, it was cloudy for a week. I didn't see the true paint condition until then. Lol

that's awesome. i detail on the side and when it comes to paint correction, it's tough cause of the time constraint. i think i spent a total of 20 something hours on this car. The first pic is with Menzerna FG400 as well. It's such a good product as you already know.

That looks awesome! I really liked using FG400, it made quick work of the swirls and left a fairly decent finish prior to final polish. I used to use M105 and that was a pain for me to use in my opinion. And just for those that don't know, PO85rd (final polish) is the equivalent to Menzerna SF4500. From what I've been told, Menzerna SF4000 has more cut and it finishes equally as well as SF4500. I just used what I had. Unfortunately, when I used SF4500 on the bumpers of the FRS, it was leaving a white residue that I couldn't remove with a towel. So I switched over to Meguiars M205 instead and had no issues.

What do services like this cost?

I'd say around $300. But you have to make sure the detailer knows what they are doing because a majority of them don't. You can usually locate a detailer in your area by going to detailing forums.

Nice job, well done!

Did you check a month later to see if the swirls still exist (after the wax/fillers have wore/washed off).

If not, maybe take some rubbing alcohol and give it a quick spot test.

Thanks! I have been checking on the paint and the paint finish is pretty much perfect. There have been some very fine swirls I see randomly on the paint however which I'm not sure is the result of washing or any fillers from PO85rd wearing away. I applied a coating to the paint and it still beads the same as when I originally applied it.
