Repair Costs

3 Attachment(s)
I'm looking at buying a 2013 FR-S 10 Series but there are a few nicks and scratches on the front and rear bumper. One pretty large one on the left rear of the bumper and some curb rash on the right of the front bumper.

How much would it cost me to repair these? Dealer is arguing that I'm saving because the list price is off the normal cost of a 42k mile FR-S (dealer has the car listed for about 17.5k). I'm just wondering how much it would actually cost me to deal with these scratches.

They look severe enough to require sanding and repainting. Definitely cannot be buffed out.

$1 to $10,000 based on the pictures!

Seriously send some pics and we can guestimate for you.

Scratches are a good thing on a used car means it hasnt been repainted because of a major accident, be worried if it has 42k without any nicks on it m8. If the paint looks perfect thats bullshit at 42k.

I have the photos on my phone but the forum won't let me upload them bc they're not the right size. Any advice? haha

Depends on how deep the nicks and stuff are. Had a dime size nick on my old car and it was $100 or so professionally, that it was deep, took off like 3 layers (Not sure what caused it). Unless you do just those touch up paints, the bottles are about $10 I believe but it wouldn't look good. They said they might need to sand down and repaint again to make it look close to factory with he clear coat and all that.

But some pics would help. Since if its light a touch up paint would be ideal.

Sorry can't help with that one. I don't have a clue how to do it.

Upload them on imgur

Personally id go for the lowest mileage as the most important consideration. Service history, warranty, etc

I didn't realize there actually were any until you inspired me to look in the app store. You just made my life easier too, thanks!
