Much better now!
Just a Alpine SWR-10D4 (new model Type R) and a Alpine MXR-M100 amp.

Very happy with the results even with the stock speakers still in there (might not even change them now)

Sweet... how hard does it hit?

I went with Alpine PDX-M6 amp and 2x SWR-1243D. The amp came certified for 660 instead of the listed 600 though. They hit SUPER hard.. I can't even come close to full volume without putting myself on disability.

Other than the door rattle from my pass. speaker (thought i blew the speaker but more people are reporting the same issue right off the lot), i agree that the sound of the stock system with an added sub (i added a 12 xplode sub i use for testing) sounds great. I'm not trying to make a competitive audio car, i just want to enjoy and feel my music. Also i mounted my amp on my box so when track the car, 3 wires and the box and amp come out...simple.

I'm considering swapping sides for the speakers and mounting clips to them to connect them together in the center and then mount the amp to them in the middle on the side... I'm going to have to check and see if I can get the whole thing out as one piece though I'm severely doubting that I can.. I'd have to remove at least 1 sub I think... thankfully the amp is all quick release connections so that makes it easier but the subs are wired aren't. :(

It hits pretty hard actually. I'm also not trying to get a competition ready sound system. Just wanted enough to enjoy my music on my daily commute.
