Added sub...
Much better now!
Just a Alpine SWR-10D4 (new model Type R) and a Alpine MXR-M100 amp. Very happy with the results even with the stock speakers still in there (might not even change them now) http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/f...z/307056c5.jpg |
Sweet... how hard does it hit?
I went with Alpine PDX-M6 amp and 2x SWR-1243D. The amp came certified for 660 instead of the listed 600 though. They hit SUPER hard.. I can't even come close to full volume without putting myself on disability. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/garag...11387/1259.jpg |
Other than the door rattle from my pass. speaker (thought i blew the speaker but more people are reporting the same issue right off the lot), i agree that the sound of the stock system with an added sub (i added a 12 xplode sub i use for testing) sounds great. I'm not trying to make a competitive audio car, i just want to enjoy and feel my music. Also i mounted my amp on my box so when track the car, 3 wires and the box and amp come out...simple.

It hits pretty hard actually. I'm also not trying to get a competition ready sound system. Just wanted enough to enjoy my music on my daily commute.
