Most reliable detailers will apply opti-coat for you for a small charge. Its like replacing their normal paint sealant with your supplied opti-coat paint sealant. I can't wait for mine to get done! Good luck!

No. A few places in the states sell it and you can do it yourself, its easy.

I am going to try it myself for certain areas like the door jamb area, inside the fuel door, perhaps around the underside of the car.

If you do it yourself, make sure to do small sections at a time. You can directly apply the opticoat to the applicator sponge included, or you can cover the applicator with a nitrile glove (that way it doesn't soak up the product so much). Apply onto a small section, move the applicator around in one direction, then in a perpendicular . So if you start with left to right, then finish up with up and down. Once the small area has been coated, I would get a clean microfiber, and gently wipe in the directions you applied the product. Don't put pressure, just let the microfiber glide. This helps to pick up any product that might cause high spots. Let it cure a bit and move on to the next area. Good luck!

Hey ~Matt,

Do you know any places in Honolulu who would install the opticoat or sell it? And have you get yours done? I'm looking for any sources around Honolulu. Any advice would be helpful on where to get it?

I'm having Shea from Sheas luxury detailing come to my house to opti-coat. Its about $30 to have him do it. But of course I am providing the opti-coat, and he's also doing the paint correction (I have not washed the car since I picked it up in June, due to Servco Scion needing to replace my bumper).

Oh, don't go to Capones...he was going to charge me ~$200 to get the car opti-coated. Bah.

Hope this helps!
