Scion Dealers Marking up the FRS !!!
 

I'm hunting for a FR-S and I've contacted many dealers and several have stated that they're marking up the vehicle because it's in such high demand..... they are adding wheels and lo-jack and selling for over $30k Their claim is that they are adding "value"..... This goes against Scions motto.... don't fall victim to these greedy dealers!!! try different dealers and you'll find honest ones that stay true to Scions Mission.

Yes, this topic has been covered quite thoroughly here already.

Still, feel free to report them to Toyota.

My local Toyota dealership actually has $500 off on their FR-S's.

This site has over a hundred people who already have the car and has hundreds of members from all over the country. People are well aware.

To what end? Dealers are not prevented from doing this in any way.

I never said what they did was illegal, or in violation of their Scion licensing, but in this great country of ours, you can always complain. Whatever makes you feel better.

The way one of the sales rep's at Bill Wright Toyota/Scion was talking, the dealers are signed into a non compete contract with other scion dealers. So their mark up would be in breach of that wouldn't it? Unless this guy was full of it. But why would a car salesman bend the truth? :bonk:

Which dealer in L.A. is this? There are at least 5 that are not adding a mark up.

You're on the wrong side of the continent. There are plenty of FR-S in New England being sold at MSRP or slightly accessorized for an extra thousand. You could definitely pay for a road trip on the difference you pay.
