Any mod for tail lights to stay on?
 

Hi,

I got a GT86 here in Europe, and the lighting rules state that the tail lights can be turned off during high ambient light conditions. I have 4 lighting options on my lever:

1. Only LED front.
2. Auto (only LED front in high light conditions, when it turns dark, HID and tail lights turn on).
3. Parking lights.
4. All lights on.

I don't really like the auto feature as it turns on the lights too soon for my taste (sometimes when the sun is still clearly visible), though I know my dealer can adjust the settings a bit.
I would like to save hours on the HID lights, so I want to use the LED front as much as possible - they are pretty intense anyway. But sometimes I would really like the tail lights to be on too, for visibility reasons. But I would need to turn on the HID front also.

Is it possible to adjust the software to leave the tail lights on when using LED front? Or would I need to mess with extra wires ect.?

Basically, I want the tail lights to be on whenever the LED fronts are on.

Leave your parking lights on or have your foot on the brake at all times.

why worry about leaving your headlights on, do you realize how many hours HID bulbs can go through. and when they burn out in 8 years they are only like $50 for new ones

dont the taillights turn on too when you turn on your parking lights??

10 Series here with park lights on ...LED DRL on w/ park lights/foglights and tails on w/ rear foglight..no headlights

Yes, but not sure if the LEDs are less bright (in the UK/Europe at least).

LED DRL's shouldn't be less bright on park light setting only when headlights are on they should be less bright.

He is talking the LED tails which will out last the HID heads about 10 to one and will probably all still be working perfectly when the car is scrapped due to old age.

Yea he should be good he if has just the park lights on. He will still have the taillights illuminated along with the LED DRL. I mostly drive with just my DRL's because they are bright as hell and when paired with my HID 5k fogs its like I have my headlights on lol.
