Update on alarm ?
 

So my dealership called me the other day and said their is an update on the alarm and to bring it in. I asked how long it would take and at first he said 30 min, he called me back shortly and said the frs is more complicated so it would take longer.... Alarms are my weak point for sure but I'm pretty certain alarms are not car specific so to me this sounds like a fake story. Has anyone else had their dealerships say there is an update on the alarm ? Or anything else on the car for that matter?

i got my alarm installed on saturday. no call re: an update but it took almost 3 hours for them to install it. initially i was told about 1.5 hrs, but yea i got the same thing with them saying it's a new car and they want to take their time and make sure it's done right.

Mine has been installed they just said theres an update to the alarm. Like I said alarms are my weak point , I used to work for a custom stereo company and that was one thing I never installed/learned . It's no big deal but just sounded like a front for something else

Factory alarm needs update or aftermarket that they installed?

Its factory alarm . They said it needed an update . Nothing seems different so no clue .
