Auto-lights malfunction?
I recently bought my brz about 2 months ago and everything is dandy. I recently put on a front license plate that attaches to the front tow hook and ever since then my auto-lights turn on during broad daylight. When i manually turn off and on the lights nothing is effected however when I drive with the lights on auto it would take up to 5 minutes of driving in broad daylight for them to come on. Very weird and minor just curious if anyone had similar experiences.

Do you have something covering your light sensor?

I guess thats part of my question, I am not sure where my light sensors are. This car is completely new and foreign to me.

It's part number 84088. It's a small black circle on the passenger side of your dashboard, near the windshield. |

O dang, I had no idea I was covering the light sensor.

Look on the bright side. It was probably the easiest diagnosed and fixed problem to ever hit the forum.

"Look on the bright side" I see what you did there.

Since we are on the subject, I notice that when I leave from my garage (lights in "auto" mode") that the lights stay on after being in the daylight. sometimes they eventually go off but often they stay on. If I manually turn them off, then put back into auto mode, they will stay off. Anyone else have this problem?
