2017 FR-S to get Electric Turbo?
I saw this article a couple days ago and thought it might be worth sharing. I think most publications generally accept the 2017 refresh will get a HP bump but this is the first rumor I've heard of an electric turbo. I don't know how likely that would be for just a refresh but it would be cool to see. Here is the article:
http://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/20...-rumors-specs/ The original source of the information about the power bump, among other changes, is in an interview with Toyota's chief designer Tetsuya Tada here: http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2015...e-stakes-54828 At the very least I am going to hold out on buying my FR-S until the 2017's come out I think. |
Ignore that website. Ignore everything until it's official.

Not another one of these....
Don't even have to open the links to tell you that I don't believe it unless it's leaked through toyota. @David the Gnome You'll soon find out that people on this forum do not take "rumors" lightly as we hear them all the time and not a single one has ever been remotely close to true because everyone wants to hear that the FR-S' will be getting a bump in power etc. etc. |

AHHHHH DAMNIT
And we were doing so well without any moroning.au crap. Now there are going to be 100 other "sites" saying there is an electric SC just around the corner. http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploa...d-Iron-Man.gif |
