Tom's TM-05 17x7 +48

i've been running a staggered setup for almost 2 years and decided to go squared and since my theme has been Tom's, i decided to order the Tom's TM-05 wheels for the 86 (don't have budget right now for those Igeta's, quite expensive at 3x the price compared to these ones). looks nice, clean and simple, and doesn't look like it's hard to clean. :D and one more thing, tires are cheaper compared to running 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 before. i'm running stock tire specs too since it is what's being recommended by Tom's.

so here are the TM-05 prior to install..

and here they are mounted on the 86..

btw, i placed 20mm spacers up front and 25mm at the rear. good alternative for the stock wheels, i think they are slightly lighter too at 7.8kgs as advertised by Tom's. quite happy at how it turned out! :thumbup:

Looks really nice :thumbup: ,

looks pretty flush with the spacers how much research did you have to do to make sure they would line up with the fender?

Nice tire choice!

Hopefully no longer than like a minute, seeing that there's a fitment guide stickied.

Nice wheels, OP.

I can't even find these for sale. I did some googling and wound up on a supra forum with no help.

Any info?

You're probably going to have to track down an importer for these. These are JDM as hell.

@gouldilocks, since they are the same as the stock wheels, i found some threads here regarding adding spacers and most have been putting 20mm up front and 25mm at the rear thou i think i could go 25mm front and 30mm rear since i have -2 camber all around

@Clipdat, i've been hearing good reviews from local racers regarding the tires and a friend knows the local distributor so i got a good deal on them too.. cant wait to try it out at the tracks

@Summerwolf, i had a friend helped me order the wheels directly from Japan :) i think they're barely new? i did try searching in the forums and in the internet before prior to ordering these wheels but didn't come up with much so ordering them were quite a gamble on how it would turn out

@jawn, thanks!

Looking good boss!

Summerwolf 11-05-2015 08:47 AM

I suppose it pays to have friends in / familiar with japan!
