Dead pedal/foot rest....quick questions...warranty?

I've found 2-3 other links where members have complained the dead pedal (foot rest): moves, shakes, cracks (sound), or is loose. Think it's held by clips? Seem to be loose...

Mine is loose. So I have 3 questions-ish:

1) If car is under 36/36 aka warranty is that pos pedal covered by dealer under b2b?
2) I understand floor mats would not be replaced as they are considered a wear item (some Camaro chick told me...)... but you guys think I should bring it up to dealer's attention? (is it true its a wear item?) So are the other 3 pedals covered? i.e. clutch, brake and accelerator?
3) Anyone deal with dealer regarding this issue of it being loose?

Bit drunk so hope this made sense...:word::barf::barf::barf::barf:

Other members recommend 3M tape, but I think mine is hooked on carpet... don't want to have to cut it up. There's also these clips here;

I'd prefer if dealer did everything themselves. I already repaired my accelerator. It was shaky side to side. Least it wasnt my brake! HA!

Yeah, I just haven't had the time to pull up the carpet and just dynamat the shit out of everything yet.

Others all seem to have used tape. Even those that took them into the dealers said they just used tape on it. Shouldn't have to cut the carpet it should just pull away.

Thanks. Ill ask today. If it's simple ill just do it myself. Dont want them scratching or breaking something.

Heh... I noticed this about mine recently, doesn't really bother me but if some double-sided tape is all it takes I'll probably take a look later today...

In for solutions.

I get the horrible squeak all the time and quite frankly my girlfriend says it annoys her when she can hear it while driving. Almost as much as the rattle from the speakers, which I'm working on trying to find a solution for.

Yep, my dead peddle is loose. I will see what they do when I complain at first service.

Also looking for detailed instructions on how to fix it. The problem seems to get worse (more noisy) as temperatures drop.

I COMPLAINED FOR IT........

=.= service manager told me it's the natural flex in the thing cuz it's only being held by 2 plastic piece behind,,,,,,,,,,,, /brings out a torch

I tightened mine up. No more rattle. Now, they have buzz but only when hot weather. This occurs with or without bass. Volume at 45+

I brought it up to dealer but not priority. I want my clutch rattle, weatherstrip and door flush fixed first.

Then my dead pedal and finally speakers. I know in a year or so ill get them updated.

Possibly this could become an Uncontrolled Deceleration issue with Toyota/Subaru.

Or, Mental Anguish, caused by squeaking, creaking Dead Pedal.

Sorry jawn...I was simply joking.
