Legit company??

http://northamericanparts.com/

Trying to get a good price on the HKS v3 Supercharger and they have the best yet. However, I'm not sure this site is legit. The phone number doesn't work right and the social media links are not active.

Any use this before??

If it's too good to be true, etc.

When in doubt, use your credit card and check with the better business bureau for claims!

Avoid it like the plague. If a place who's lifeblood depends on being able to contact them has a bad phone and broken links it means nothing but headaches down the road.

Something like this happened a while back where a guy bought some Rays volk racing te37's from an unauthorized dealer and lost his money.

You must buy from an authorized dealer if you want warranty etc...
5 second search for hks authorized dealer...
http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/dealers/usa.html
I recommend evasive.

North up in OH you should be able to find reputable dealer and drive and pick it up, save on shipping, 3 yrs ago I was an ARMY recruiter in WV and that's what I did for all my Subaru tunes etc.. I'm unsure whether Buscher Racing (sorry if I messed up spelling) deals with the GT86. Definitely worth a look especially if you are going FI. Those guys have been tuning Mitsubishis, Subarus, GT-R's since jumpstreet. I just looked up their site looks they don't advertise for the GT86, I'm sure they will point you in right direction and not **** you around. Sorry if this sounds like a plug. In WV you are very limited.

It certainly looks it. Also, a quick google search shows several vendors selling it for the same price (vivid, ft86speedfactory)

Say you do decide to buy from them, but something goes wrong (defect for example). Imagine having to find a way to get ahold of them then.

Yeah, its extremely frustrating living in WV as I can't get any local support. Everything is so far away. Evasive quoted me with free shipping and since they are authorized on HKS I'll probably go with them.

I would prefer to have someone install it, but I will most likely install myself. Any of you use the Open Flash Tablet and do you think this would work or should I buy with the ECU kit?

Find a tuner and see what they use. Most likely http://www.ecutek.com/
The tune/install are probably the two most important things besides the product itself.

I'm thinking about buying from these guys:

http://www.tollboothwilley.com/hks-v...d-toyota-fr-s/

How exactly do I know if I will be getting a Warranty on the kit? Response to my email he said, "we are authorized through HKS via our distributors"

soulreapersteve 11-02-2015 10:02 PM

Just go with Evasive or any other authorized seller mentioned on this forum. Trusted, tried and true, many good reviews from a variety of people.

Save yourself from a potential headache. But that's just me.
