Had a go at PSing what I think the FT86 II concept and/or prod. model will look like!

Hey guys... Been working on this for the last few days, and thought I'd post it up to get your opinions... :)

I took one of the original FT86 concept photo's, and, using the released teaser pic, along with the gamma increased, and colour-added pictures in the FT86 II concept thread of the teaser, I decided to try and portray what I thought the new concept would look like, or, what I think the production unit may look close to!

Hope you enjoy! :D

List of modifications:
-Brake duct intakes removed
-Main front intake opened up more
-"Creases" in front bumper exaggerated further
-Canard (?) Bumps added on front bumper
-Front of hood lowered, rear of hood raised (because of the regulations ;) )
-Extra grooves removed from hood (I decided not to put the apparent vents in the teaser pic, as I thought they looked out-of-place and I don't think they will make it to production)
-Front quarter-panel rear brake vent removed, smoothed over
-Toyota emblem moved from hood to bumper, hood opening body line moved higher on car
-Headlights have bottom wedge cut out of them, around projector has been curved (as per Red teaser pic modification). More meat added to top of headlight
-Extra light groove in headlights to look more like teaser pic
-Wheel diameter reduced to 17"
-Interior seats dumbed down a little, and made black for production-readiness

It is a little warped, this is because I had to mess around with the whole car when I raised the hood.

Here it is:

What do ya reckon? Any suggestions?

:w00t:it looks awsome man good work:respekt:

im just wondering about the A-pillar, because i dont think they'll keep it that way for production(but i hope they do), could i see what it would look like with the windscreen not wrap around and just a normal external A-pillar in red? is that kool? if its not too much work??

Thanks mate :)

Yep, not too much work :) I'll get it done after brekkie :D

Edit: Done! Looking more production-ready with every photoshop! Any suggestions for the rear-end? I'm not sure what to do with it tbh, not sure if that's something that could make it to production, or whether I should tone it down like the front-quarter-panel?

na i think the rear end looks fine the way it is, its not too complicated the only thing was the diffuser and you cant see that at this angle.

p.s. how are you going over there in NZ were you affected by the quake???

Snaps 02-22-2011 05:24 PM

^ Nope, I'm in the North Island (Levin). The quake was in Christchurch in the South Island. Can't even think of any family I have down there tbh...
