Replaced liquids with motul 300.... Car stalls...
Hey guys looking to see if anyone might have some advice while I run the CEL codes.
Swapped over both tranny and diff fluids to motul 300. A day or two later the idle started sounding a little weird. Like a Diesel engine or if something was loose (slight knocking but only at idle) Last night I drove the car and at a red light it bugged rough idle and boom shut off... any ideas? |
Any intake mods?
Dirty/BAD MAF can do that |
Sounds like your motor has no oil.

If that's the only thing you've changed for sure, double check and make sure your trans and diff aren't leaking. The fluid change itself is highly unlikely to cause that, unless the fluid leaked out and is causing significant friction. What codes came up?

We've installed Motul fluid here quite frequently into the differential/transmission and never had any issues whatsoever. The issue here likely is what everyone else is saying, it sounds more motor related than transmission. |
:popcorn:Oh man I love Detective story!

My guess he filled the tranny and diff by way of the engine oil fill.

You nailed it, best prune juice I ever drank  Well the results are in..... The doctor wrote "P000A" ~ A camshaft position slow response bank 1 ...... I don't have any intake mods other than a drop in filter, no engine mods other than the fluid change, which was done at the dealership and I have no leaks. So is it a total loss or can it be buffed out?? |

Dealership ended up replacing OCV for free and it fixed my problem. Contact your dealership for repair if you are still within warranty |
