Top Suppliers

In South Africa we don't get as much range as overseas... so this is to share good suppliers of mods, spares or consumables.

This is a thread to recommend local suppliers of great products that YOU HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH (and prices, links, etc - I can't add to the list without a little detail or personal experience) for the BRZ / 86.

:thanks: in advance.

EDIT/UPDATES
Here are the recommended dealers thus far;
(All are either online/or on facebook).

RMS Innovation- for a big range of parts, FI, and upgrades. Personally I've done quite a bit through them and he has done a number of 86s for very happy customers. Pretoria based

Rob Greene - while not a personal choice, I know he's done many SC's, exhausts, tuning(not he uses a piggy back Unichip, not proper ECU tune) and other mods. Joburg based.

Phoenix performance - some good reviews for ECU tuning. (Cape Town based I think?)
Pyro Performance for other mechanical work. Cape Town.

POWERBRAKE - awesome aftermarket brake products. They sell direct to the public & re-sellers can get at the same prices. Pretoria/National

1st Race - for track tyres and safety kit (more track focussed). Zwartkops Pretoria.

TMSS Motorsports - any stainless steel work, but specifically custom exhausts! Top quality, but custom made, so know what you want. Joburg.

Epic Racing - wheel imports. Joburg.
ATS Motorsport - Sparco seats and steering wheels.
FSU developments - wheels, seats, body parts... a fair variety of stuff. Joburg.

Errols tyres - still seem to be pretty good for road tyres/prices.

PS) Both good and bad experiences are welcome!

Som
1st positive experience - RMS innovation based in Pretoria.
Always keen to help, always has a good attitude and just a general passion for the 86 :-)
They operate mostly off Facebook, so search him on there if you're keen.

1st don't waste your time... NXgen in jo'burg. Totally uninterested in helping, and answering questions and basically isn't interested until you whip out the cheque book. Worst part is I actually know the owner and was trying to deal with him directly.

A new one to add - although my dealings thus far are limited.

Delicious Tuning

He gave me some GREAT advice on a number of questions re: FI, flex fuel, mods to the engine, gaskets, etc. It was properly thought out and you can definitely see they are professionals! I'll be buying their tune for sure... whether through RMS (who works with them too) or them directly.

1. Phoenix Performance for ECU tuning
2. Pyro Performance Cape Town for all other mechanical work

Quick update.

Flexfuel + headers and overpipe ordered from RMS - he was really helpful and worked very hard to get my cash :)

Install happening in January - can't wait. If I do end up going FI (not with our current Rand/Dollar!!!) then I'll have the EcuTek and ability to run ethanol already anyway!

As it is I am expecting 15% - 25% increase at the wheels

Ouch that must have hurt

Let's just say it was a bit more than expected, but I ordered literally 1 day before this mad crash... So not as bad as it could have been!

You made the right choice going Delicious Tuning Flex Fuel, power gains are awesome on the NA platform

:thanks:
Looking forwards to it (install is Jan).

FI is really tempting but can't justify the price just yet... It's not so much the outright cost, but the opportunity cost of other stuff I could buy/do with the the cash :-)

What I'd like to start here is a thread for us to recommend local suppliers of great products (and perhaps links, prices, experiences, etc) for the BRZ / 86.

DEALERS PLEASE DON'T USE THIS TO ADVERTISE TO US UNLESS SOMEONE ASKS FOR SPECIFIC INFO... I'd really like this to come from customers sharing their experiences.

Please share sources of;
Wheels, FI, Exhausts, Tuning, and any other mods you can/would/will/want to do to your car!!

:thanks: in advance.

Good thread, however if you want to make a list, please edit you first post so the list can always be updated. The next guy is not going to read the whole thread looking for answers. Just my 2c... Lets make it easier for everyone! :D

I've found 1st Race at Zwartkops (Sharon Roos) to be excellent for tyres and safety gear.
